Rangeen was started as a small block printing facility in 1995, by Weavers Studio, with 5 block printing tables. Over the years, the infrastructure and facilities have grown to 16 block printing tables, 3 batik tables & 4 screen printing tables. Master crafts persons work here & specialize in block making, dyeing, block printing, screen printing, tie & dye, batik printing, felting and adding value to approx 750 metres of uncut cloth per day using various dyes like pigments, discharge, natural and AZO free colours.
Rangeen’s weaving unit was set up in 2002 with 28 traditional hand looms. Natural yarns are hand spun, hand reeled, hand woven into high quality contemporary textiles using techniques such as jamdani, warp printing, inlay, double cloth and more. The Rangeen units run medical, holistic, educational awareness building workshops and regular vocational training classes for their workforce, management,internship students & staff.
