Shibori
Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing (most commonly tie and dye) technique, which produces patterns on fabric. At Weavers Studio, our experienced dyers transform the fabric surface into a three-dimensional forms by folding, crumpling, stitching and twisting then dyeing in natural & AZO free dyes to create one-of-a-kind, luxurious Shibori sarees. In clamp Shibori, the fabric is folded in a particular pattern and then clamped down with patterned wooden blocks before dyeing.
