Arashi Shibori Halter Neck Dress

This was designed by Ekta Kaul and textile by Weavers Studio. This is a Japanese Arashi Shibori textile; which is fabric wrapped around a pole and hundreds of meters of string wrapped where slowly 2 people push down the fabric. Then dye in natural Indigo. It is then dried and washed on the pole itself. Once again sun-dried after which we open the strings. Arashi Shibori is a Japanese technique that leaves the fabric naturally crinkled due to the tightness on the pole and almost 30-60 day process, depending on the intensity of the design and folds.
