Patch Palazzo
PalazzoA 100% tussar silk pojagi patchwork palazzo in natural indigo. Pojagi is an ancient Korean art form. The first documented mention of it was in AD 42, so it is about 2000 years old – much older than western quilts. A pojagi is a cloth that is used to wrap, carry and store things. They are traditionally square. Pojagi were used by all classes in Korean history and made with all different fabrics – silk, cotton, and ramie. The techniques used in traditional pojagi are used today to make many different things – not just wrapping cloths. The purpose of this site is to share both the beauty of the traditional art and also modern interpretations. That is exactly what we have done with this kurta.194.65$ -

Positive- Negative Natural Indigo Shibori Shawl
ShawlTo make a shaped-resist pattern, part of a fabric has to be bound, clamped, folded, pleated, stitched, twisted, or wrapped before dyeing; the dye penetrates the non-resisted areas only. After dyeing, and once the fabric is released from its bindings, a positive and negative design shows. We have used the Japanese technique of Shibori to create this Positive-Negative Shawl328.89$ -
